MG8330 Series
The MG8330 adopts a passive contact output architecture, providing stable and interference-resistant switching signals. With contact capacity up to 5A @ 250VAC / 5A @ 24VDC, it directly drives alarms, pumps, and control circuits. This design ensures high reliability for liquid level control, alarm, and fault interlocking in industrial processes.
The switch delivers a control range up to 236" (6000 mm), with set points flexibly adjustable on site to match varying vessel depths. This eliminates the need for multiple switches in tall storage tanks and simplifies inventory management. The mechanical design allows convenient adjustment without disassembly, reducing commissioning downtime.
Engineered for challenging light-liquid applications, the MG8330 maintains accurate switching for fluids with densities ranging from 400 to 700 kg/m³. Unlike conventional float switches, it ensures reliable buoyancy actuation with low-specific-gravity hydrocarbons and liquefied gases. This makes it ideal for specialized petrochemical and oil & gas processes.
Designed for flammable and explosive environments, the MG8330 carries ATEX, NEPSI, and SIL certifications for explosion-proof and functional safety compliance. Its sealed stainless steel construction achieves IP67/IP68 ingress protection, ensuring reliable operation in corrosive and dusty atmospheres. This multi-layered safety approach meets the stringent requirements of oil & gas, chemical, and power industries.
The series offers three configurations—buoy (MG8330B), float (MG8330F), and heavy hammer (MG8330H)—with top or side mounting and threaded or flange connections. The heavy hammer variant specifically addresses dome tanks with floating disks, while buoy and float models suit standard pressurized vessels. This versatility simplifies integration into existing petrochemical infrastructure.
Built with 316L/304 stainless steel wetted parts and optional PTFE or graphite sealing, the MG8330 operates reliably from -196 °C to 500 °C across the series. Pressure ratings extend up to 160 bar for the buoy type and 250 bar for the heavy hammer type, handling aggressive chemicals and thermal shock. This robust construction minimizes maintenance requirements and total cost of ownership.
