MG8400 Series
The MG8400 requires no on-site calibration or debugging after installation, eliminating routine maintenance. Its piezoelectric tuning fork continuously vibrates at natural frequency, delivering reliable switching without being affected by medium flow rate, foam, or vessel agitation. This design significantly reduces total cost of ownership and downtime in continuous processes.
Engineered for liquids, slurries, powders, solid particles, and sheet-like media, the MG8400 also withstands highly corrosive fluids such as strong acids and alkalis. The switching performance remains stable regardless of changes in dielectric constant, bubbles, pressure, temperature, or gas-phase composition. This makes it a single solution for diverse and demanding process conditions.
The modular electronic unit accepts 24VDC or 220VAC dual power supply, offering excellent universality across different plant infrastructures. A bright red/blue LED on the housing provides clear local status indication, allowing operators to instantly distinguish between alarm and normal conditions even in poor lighting.
Built with a high-pressure cast aluminum or stainless steel housing rated to IP67/IP68, the MG8400 resists moisture, vibration, temperature shocks, and mechanical impacts during transport or installation. Wetted parts are available in 316L SST, titanium, or Hastelloy C-276, ensuring long-term durability in corrosive and abrasive applications.
The MG8400 carries NEPSI, CNEX and SIL certifications, making it suitable for flammable and explosive atmospheres. It incorporates reverse-polarity protection and anti-RF interference circuitry, ensuring safe and stable operation in electrically noisy industrial environments.

The MG8400 Series Vibrating Fork Level Switch is designed for reliable level control of liquids, slurries, powders, and solid particles in both open and pressurized vessels. Featuring maintenance-free operation, no on-site calibration, and immunity to flow rate, foam, and agitation, it provides accurate switching signals across extreme process conditions. With IP67/IP68 protection, NEPSI, CNEX and SIL certifications, and wetted parts in 316L stainless steel or Hastelloy C-276, the MG8400 is ideal for hazardous and corrosive industrial environments.
In oil and gas processing, the MG8400 is used for level control in storage tanks, separators, and process vessels containing petroleum, liquefied gas, and hydrocarbon slurries. Its explosion-proof certifications ensure safe operation in hazardous areas, while the tuning fork design remains unaffected by turbulent flow or vibration from nearby equipment.
Key advantages:
NEPSI / CNEX / SIL hazardous area compliance
Unaffected by medium flow rate and vessel vibration
Wetted materials: 316L SST / Hastelloy C-276
In chemical processing, the MG8400 handles level detection of aggressive media including acids, alkalis, and corrosive solvents. The highly polished fork minimizes material adhesion, and the all-welded construction prevents leakage. It performs reliably in reactors and mixing tanks where foam and agitation are present.
Key advantages:
Corrosion-resistant wetted parts: 316L / titanium / Hastelloy C-276
Immune to foam and gas-phase composition changes
Operating pressure up to 6.3 MPa (63 bar)
In food and beverage production, the MG8400 monitors liquid levels in tanks containing beverages, beer, and aqueous solutions. The stainless steel sanitary construction and maintenance-free design meet strict hygiene requirements, while the clear LED red/blue indication simplifies on-site monitoring.
Key advantages:
316L stainless steel hygienic construction
Maintenance-free, no calibration required
Clear LED red/blue on-site indication
In power plants, the MG8400 provides level control for boiler feedwater, condensate tanks, and cooling water systems. Its dual AC/DC power supply offers flexible integration into existing electrical infrastructure, and the IP67/IP68 housing withstands high-humidity and dusty environments.
Key advantages:
Dual power input: 24VDC or 220VAC
IP67/IP68 ingress protection
High reliability with no moving parts
In water treatment and sewage facilities, the MG8400 is used for level control in pump stations, sedimentation tanks, and sludge thickeners. The short fork design allows installation at any angle, and the device is unaffected by medium flow rate or turbulent conditions in mixed liquid applications.
