MG2300 Series Bimetallic Thermometers

The bimetallic thermometer is designed and manufactured based on the principle of solid thermal expansion. Usually, two metal sheets with relatively large difference in expansion coefficient are overlapped and welded together to form a bimetallic temperature sensing element.
With the changes of the temperature , bending deformation of bimetallic sheet will occur in different expansion and contraction, which is caused by the relatively difference of the linear expansion coefficient of two different materials of bimetallic sheet.
Different amount of rotation is generated according to different deformation. The amount of rotation drives the connected shaft, and the shaft drives the indicator at the other end, so that the indicator can point to the correct reading and indicate the temperature.
